Biography

It's a tough job, but someone's gotta travel the world and write it all down afterwards. Otherwise, how would all those poor travel magazines stay in business? The author of hundreds of magazine, newspaper and web articles, as well as several guide books, Heidi's work has covered everything from ocean cruises to mountain lodges, real estate and high fashion. Without a doubt, though, travel writing has been her main gig. It all started with a trip around the world, when she and her future husband hit 22 countries on six continents in six months. Amazingly, the excessive togetherness didn't sour them on eventually marrying. Today, some 70 countries and nearly 100 cruise ships later, Heidi continues to roam the globe, these days with her twin boys in tow (and sometimes that lucky husband too).
